The Atlanta Braves have been reporting to Lake Buena Vista, Fla., for spring training since 1997, when Champion Stadium was built.
Located in Orange County, Lake Buena Vista is more popularly known for Walt Disney World. Families of all ages continue to add to their spring training experience by spending time at Typhoon Lagoon, Pleasure Island and DisneyQuest.
When Braves players are not on the field or in the gym, they spend their time at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill and Downtown Disney. The ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill serves burgers, sandwiches, salads, desserts, beverages and more. Players gravitate toward the full bar that is open during the restaurant hours. Downtown Disney is famous for its full bar and happy hour.
Lake Buena Vista’s population of ten people is strictly made up of Disney employees.
Champion Stadium is used for high school tournaments and games when the Braves are not there. Temple won the A10 tournament there in 2001.
