Consistency, a word that has been used to describe the Texas Rangers over the past five seasons. Not making the playoffs last season left a sour taste in the mouth of the organization. In an attempt to turn things around the Rangers made some changes to their roster.
In the offseason, management brought in, first baseman, Prince Fielder. Formally with the Detroit Tigers, Fielder has played all 162 games over the course of the last three seasons. Dependable and a leader he has batted .297, with 27 homeruns and 107 RBIs. With stats like these its hard not to be optimistic about what fielder will bring to the Rangers.
Signed to a seven-year deal, Shin-Soo Choo has a great deal of pressure to prove that he can play with the Ranges. A right fielder with a .285 batting average and a .462 slugging percentage, Ranger fans are hoping Choo brings the Rangers back to the promise land.
