Diamondbacks favors young athletes throughout the years

Derek Jeter’s first MLB game was on May 29, 1995, which was before the Arizona Diamondbacks were an established team in the MLB. It wasn’t until three years later in 1998 that the Diamondbacks were founded.

The first roster for the Diamondbacks includes a list of younger players. The youngest include two right-handed pitches Ben Ford and Jeff Suppan, who were both 23 years old in 1998.

Now, in 2014, the dynamics for younger players have stayed consistent regarding recruiting athletes for MLB. Infielders, Raul Navarro, 23, and Chris Owings, 22, are two examples of young players for the Diamondbacks.
