May 29, 1995-As Derek Jeter stepped onto the field for the Yankees for the first time, the Orioles lost to the Angels by only one run at Anaheim Stadium. Losing was not a new concept for the Orioles. Coming off of a players strike the year before, they were hurting bad.
There were no current players on the team at the time, which may explain why they lost. With the team they have now, the hopes may have been a little higher than they were for that game. The temperature was high and there was no rain to cool them off that day in May. Either way, they did not play as well as the Orioles do today.
