The “Latest Catch” on the Houston Astros

Dexter Fowler claims that the whole cause to his stiff neck is just because he slept on it at a “weird angle.”

Fowler was taken out of the lineup against the Tigers due to a stiff neck during the last week of February. The team says they took this action purely for precautionary reasons.

Fowler was acquired from the Rockies last offseason to play center and hit leadoff. He batted .250 last year with 12 homers, 42 RBIs and 19 stolen bases for the Rockies, with an on-base percentage of .369.

Right-hander Lucas Harrell worked three innings and allowed one run on three hits in their 3-0 loss to the Tigers at Osceola County Stadium on March 11.

“I feel like the stuff I’ve been working on is really starting to pay off, and I’m not missing by a whole lot,” said Harrell. Stating that he talked to pitching coach Brent Strom before the game, he claimed that “one thing we wanted to work on was first-pitch strikes, and two of the first three pitches for strikes. And I felt that was a thing I was doing real well today.” (catchsports.com)
